TRX training for runners and triathletes

Runners and triathletes are usually very busy people, trying to juggle training with work, family and social commitments.  And as such, core (and strength) training is often overlooked, in the hope that simply doing the swimming, biking and running sessions will suffice. This is where many people miss out. By simply adding in some core stability sessions it increases strength, stamina and endurance, allowing you to train and race faster, and helps to keep injuries at bay.

The TRX is a great tool for this. The TRX is a Suspension Training tool that allows you to leverage your own bodyweight to improve your strength, balance, stamina and flexibility all at once. With TRX bodyweight training, your entire core is activated as a stabilizer in every TRX exercise that you perform.

Check out the video below of professional triathlete Chris Lieto and his coach Matt Dixon demonstrating some of the key TRX exercises that Chris uses to develop his core strength for triathlon.
